The Sardar Rice Mills plant occupies a structured site in Ghakhar, Gujranwala — one of Pakistan's most active rice processing regions. The facility has been developed as a commercial-scale operation with clear separation between processing, quality, packing, and dispatch functions.
The physical layout — with extended production halls, organized dispatch yard, and supporting infrastructure — was designed with future capacity growth in mind. The current 12–13 ton processing unit operates as the active commercial core, with space and structural planning in place for expansion without a full infrastructure rebuild.
A 12–13 ton processing unit forms the operational core. The line includes hulling, whitening, polishing, and size-grading equipment capable of handling basmati, steam, and sella processing formats.
Modern optical sorters handle separation of discolored grains, foreign matter, and brokens after milling — critical for meeting export-grade visual and purity specifications.
An in-house lab handles grain length measurement, moisture testing, and visual quality assessment on each lot, using precision instruments as standard. Results are recorded per lot before packing approval.
The packing floor operates under direct supervision. Approved rice is weighed, packed, and sealed in export formats. Weight accuracy and seal integrity are verified for each unit before clearance for dispatch.
The dispatch yard accommodates container loading for export shipments. Containers are sealed on-site under direct oversight, with full documentation covering lot reference, quantity, and shipment details.
A 500 kW grid-tied solar plant operates on the facility. This installation supports energy cost stability and reduces reliance on conventional grid power. See the Sustainability page.
